INSTITUTIONAL LINKAGES Institutional linkages are formal agreements forged between the CSC and a partner agency based on organizational mandates and efforts. The formalized agreement has written and laid down goals and procedures. This is in contrast to informal networks that depend more on individual initiatives to network and remain in this level. As a partner institution in a linkage the CSC is involved in joint planning and implementation with clear and acceptable division of tasks, sharing of resources, and control/use of information data. Linkages may be pursued in the following areas: 1. Exchange programs: exchange students, faculty/visiting fellowships |

RESEARCH AFFILIATION The CSC has linkages with individuals who, with their own research projects on the Cordillera and independent research funding, wish to make CSC their research base while doing their research in the Philippines. These individuals are called Research Affiliates. However, to stress that the linkage is between the affiliate’s institution and the CSC, the application for affiliation has to be noted and approved by the adviser/head of institution. The privileges of a CSC Research Affiliate include:
Research Affiliates are required to provide the CSC copies of research materials and research reports, as well as copies of progress reports submitted to their funding or base institutions. They are required to deliver at least one lecture before the end of their affiliation, and may also be requested to contribute to on-going institutional researches. They have to acknowledge the CSC for assistance in all publications arising from the affiliation. |
